Septic systems play an important role both inside and outside of our homes. They move the waste outdoors safely and quickly but only if they are maintained properly. A “sick” septic system will lead to costly repairs and potential environmental harm as wastes may find their way into our lakes, rivers, and streams. Environmental Experts from University of Florida/IFAS will inform us how septic systems work and the newest technology in systems that protect our springs.
