Hernando County Mosquito Control is committed to keeping our residents and technicians safe in light of COVID-19. Per CDC guidance to implement social distancing into our procedures, please be aware of the following: If you have submitted a request for service, please do not make contact with our technicians when they arrive at your property. A tag will be hung on your residenceโs door with any findings or recommendations found.

Anonymous Complaint Notice
Florida Statute Chapter 2, Sec. 2-51(a)(2) prohibits code compliance officers from initiating enforcement proceedings for a potential violation of a duly enacted code or ordinance by way of an anonymous complaint. A person who reports a potential violation of a code or an ordinance must provide his or her name and address to the code officer before an enforcement proceeding may occur. This subsection does not apply if the code officer has reason to believe that the violation presents an imminent threat to public health, safety, or welfare or imminent destruction of habitat or sensitive resources.
