NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hernando/Citrus Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will conduct a public open house on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hernando County Building Department Training Facility, 1661 Blaise Drive, Brooksville, Florida.
The purpose of the open house is to receive public comment on 2050 Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) draft adoption package. The 2050 LRTP will be scheduled for adoption by the MPO Board beginning at 1:30 p.m., or shortly thereafter, at a public meeting scheduled on October 3, 2024. Meeting agendas will be posted on our website approximately one week prior to the scheduled meetings.
The thirty-day (30-day) public review period for the 2050 Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) began on September 1, 2024. The LRTP is available to review on the Hernando/Citrus Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) website at: www.hernandocitrusmpo.us under the Programs and Plans section. A copy of the document will be available in the MPO office at 789 Providence Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida, 34601, or provided upon request.

Any person who decides to appeal any decision made by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Board with regard to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, said person will need a record of the proceeding, and that, for such purpose, said person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, Section 286.0105 F.S.
