Notice: Normal Business Hours Resumed
Effective Monday, July 8th, 2024, the Hernando County Development Services Department will resume normal business hours:
 

HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday through Friday
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Lobby Hours:
7:30 AM โ€“ 3:30 PM
 
During these hours, our lobby and call center will be open to assist customers. This includes services from the Building, Planning & Zoning, and Code Enforcement divisions.

The Planning Department encourages quality growth and development through its management of the Countyโ€™s Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Regulations. We are involved with rezoning, master plan review, special exception permits, conditional use permits and concurrency; while working in tandem with the Zoning Department, Code Enforcement and THEBus, our transit system. The department conducts the review of new development projects and provides expertise to the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners.

HERNANDO COUNTY, FLORIDA

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a joint public hearing with the Local Planning Agency and the Board of County Commissioners of Hernando County Florida will be held on July 30, 2024, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter, in the John Law Ayers Room, County Commission Chambers, Hernando County Government Center, 20 North Main Street, Room 160, Hernando County, Brooksville, Florida, to consider adoption of the following:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23, ARTICLE III OF THE HERNANDO COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO IMPACT FEES; AMENDING IMPACT FEE SCHEDULES IN SECTION 23-46 (FIRE/EMS), 23-91(PUBLIC CAPITIAL FACITLITIES, 23-114 (PARKS), 23-69 (EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES), AND 23-138(ROADS); AMENDING IMPACT FEE SAVINGS CLAUSE;  PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR APPLICABILITY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR FILING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

THIS PROPOSED ORDINANCE may be inspected by the public at the Hernando County Planning Department, 1653 Blaise Drive, Brooksville, Florida 34601, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday legal holidays excepted.  Documentation may be viewed prior to the meeting via the Countyโ€™s website at www.hernandocounty.us โ€“ follow the Board Agendas and Minutes link to the specified public hearing.  For further information, please contact please contact the Planning Department at planning@hernandocounty.us, 352-754-4057

YOU ARE FURTHER ADVISED that if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners, with respect to the subject matter of the hearing, that person will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purposes, that person will need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
