The Project Kickoff and Current Conditions Report contains a summary of the park kickoff meeting between Hernando County and Florida State University and a report that outlines the existing conditions of the park.

PARK KICKOFF MEETING INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Identification and discussion of opportunities, constraints and policy issues related to completion of the master plan;
  2. Identification or confirmation of project goals, objectives and possible outcomes;
  3. Establishment of organizational responsibilities;
  4. Finalization of the project schedule; and
  5. Identification of key stakeholders to include the local Tourism Development Council and recreation advocacy groups.

PARK CONDITION REPORT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  1. A narrative description of the Park.
  2. An inventory of existing conditions, facilities and assets, including tourism-oriented facilities,
  3. Identification of County zoning and land use restrictions on the use of Park property,
  4. Preparation of base maps and aerial photos of the Park and the potential 43-acre proposed Park addition,
  5. Preparation of data tables showing existing Park schedules, users and programs, and
  6. Identification of specific constraints that may impact the development and implementation of the master plan.
