Zoning and Future Land Use Map

Zoning is a process of dividing land into zones (e.g. residential, commercial) in which certain land uses are permitted or prohibited.

The Future Land Use Map is designed to guide the future growth by identifying where certain land uses are appropriate. The Comprehensive Plan establishes a vision for the future, with long-range goals and objectives growth activities. See the 2040 Plan for more details.
