On October 25, 2022 the BOCC adopted Ordinance 2022-22 creating a Municipal Service Benefit Unit (MSBU) to provide road paving to Penn State Road and Scaup Duck Avenue and to levy an assessment to benefitting property owners within the special assessment district. Construction Contract No. 23-C00326 was awarded to B.R.W. Contracting, Inc. on November 7, 2023. This project consists of the reconstruction and paving of an exiting County road. The scope includes gopher tortoise conservation, roadway excavations, stabilization, placement of new road base, paving, minor shoulder grading, sign and mailbox relocations, placement of sod, paint striping and thermoplastic striping. Update: Construction commenced May 6, 2024. Work is estimated to take 75 days resulting in a final completion date of July 29, 2024. |
