Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ (FFL) means using low-maintenance plants and environmentally sustainable practices. Learn how you can have a beautiful landscape that could save you time, energy and money while protecting our future. Hernando County Utilities funds Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ in Hernando County through the Water Conservation Department. Classes are held to educate citizens about FFL practices and how to save water and money in their landscapes.
RAIN BARREL WORKSHOPS

Recycle water! Learn the best techniques in harvesting rain water for use on your landscape.
Rain Barrels—$66 Attendance at a workshop is mandatory to purchase a rain barrel. HCUD customers receive a one-time credit of $30 on their water bill for attending a workshop and installing a barrel at their home.
Payment is with CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS ONLY. Checks should be made out to
HCUD.
Volunteer Master Gardeners are available to answer your lawn and gardening questions at the Hernando County UF/IFAS Extension Office:
