Housing and Supportive Services
Housing and Supportive Services provide customer-oriented services and information to all Hernando County residents and visitors.
Our goal is to assist resident resolve their interim health and social needs, promote self-sufficiency, and enhance or maintain their quality of life through state mandates, contracted services, direct services, advocacy, and community partnerships.
Our services include Affordable Housing, Health and Human Services, and Community Redevelopment. We also serve as the county’s liaison with the Florida Department of Health and the Federally Qualified HealthCare Center, Premier Community Health Care Group.

Hotel Stays Extended
The Transitional Sheltering Assistance program, which pays for short-term hotel stays, has extended eligibility from Dec. 3 to Jan. 6, with hotel checkout on Jan. 7.

2018 Great Hernando Weight Loss Challenge
Hernando County- For a second year, Hernando County residents and visitors are encouraged to take part in the Great Hernando Weight Loss Challenge, a community health initiative taking place from Saturday, January 20 until Wednesday, April 4.
